Final Piece: Black Goddess Yemaya

I just realised that I never posted the final piece. After all the work that went into it (read about that here) I'm happy with the way it came out. What do you think of it?

If you're interested, you can get prints of it here

Finished Piece: Orisha Oshun

It's amazing how a piece can transform during the journey between idea to finished piece. I started painting this with every intention of staying true to the sketch. But then I started to explore and make mistakes. Those mistakes led me to this finished piece and I'm happy with the way it came out.

Oshun, whose signature colour is yellow, is the Youruba deity of fresh waters, love and prosperity. I'm hoping that she smiles on me in the months ahead.
